Troubadour Blue

Troubadour Blue hits you like a shot of backwoods moonshine cut with pure Nashville gold.

The band is carving its own path through the heart of American music, where dusty roads meet neon lights and heartbreak ballads collide with barn-burning jams. Songwriters Daniel Kim Ethridge (songwriter on Grammy nominated album Outrun by The SteelDrivers) and Brenna Wheeler craft songs that crackle with raw honesty, while their voices intertwine like tangled roots to tell stories of love, loss, and longing.

These tales come to life through the musicianship of Jonny Therrien, Rico Wallenda, Max Sadler and Wheeler’s standout fiddle. Produced by Grammy-winner Tammy Rogers King, their debut release Shadow of a Doubt first established the band’s raw talent and restless spirit.

Since then, Troubadour Blue has continued to evolve with standout releases including “Alabama Angel” (featuring Jerry Douglas), reimagined versions of “Hush” and “Drinkin’s Good,” and the Summer 2025 singles “Mountain Dew” and “Heathen,” which led to the full Fall 2025 release of their EP Heathen. Most recently, the band has stepped into the holiday space with their Americana-driven seasonal project, Christmas in the Holler.

The Opry Show

The signature Saturday night closing show at The Pavilion.

Inspired by the classic Opry format, multiple festival songwriters rotate through short sets, offering a wide range of voices and styles in one shared performance.

There is no single headliner. The Opry gathers the full festival community for a collaborative finale.

Backing the night is the festival’s Opry Band, led by Jeff King, featuring:

– Garth Justice, drums
– Olin “Hotshot” Carter, pedal steel
– Ernie Ealum, bass
– Tammy King, fiddle
– Marcus Carter, acoustic guitar
– Hugh Williams, electric guitar

Together, they provide the foundation that carries the songs and closes the weekend.
