Supporting the next generation of songwriters in Nassau County
The Fernandina Beach Songwriters Foundation Scholarship supports aspiring singer-songwriters from Nassau County as they pursue education and careers in music.
Rooted in the same values as the festival itself, craft, storytelling, and community, the scholarship is designed to help young writers take meaningful steps toward a future in music through education, mentorship, and continued creative development.
Scholarship Award
$5,000 Total Award
Distributed as $1,250 per year for up to four years
Paid annually with:
Proof of college enrollment
Verification that GPA requirements are met
Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Currently enrolled Nassau County, Florida high school seniors
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Planning to pursue music or songwriting as a field of study
Enrolling in a 2-year or 4-year college program
Proof of enrollment required before funds are released
Application Requirements
To be considered, applicants must submit:
Letter of recommendation from a band director or music instructor
Video submission of the applicant performing (singing, playing, or both)
Personal essay describing:
Who you are as a songwriter or musician
Why you want to pursue a career in music
Any additional materials requested by the Foundation
